Email Page
Use this page to specify the email settings that will be used to
send logs.
Specify the email address logs will be sent to. Besides, you
should specify the address of the SMTP server, the
username and password, the connection port and type. You can get
this data from your email service provider. In case of popular
email accounts, these settings are specified automatically after
you enter the email address and all you have to enter is the mail
account password.
- Send To - send logs to the specified
address.
- Username, Password - username and password for
SMTP authentication.
- SMTP server - SMTP server
address.
- Port - SMTP server connection port. Typical
values are 25, 465, 587.
- Security - select the connection type:
- None - simple connection.
- SSL - secure SSL connection.
- TLS - TLS-encrypted connection.
- Advanced - open the email advanced settings.
There is no need to change these settings in most cases.
- Send From - sender's fake address. By default,
this address coincides with the recipient's address.
- Subject - the subject of the email message
with logs. The string {user} will be automatically
replaced with the name of the current user in the system. Thus, you
can sort messages with logs coming from different computers and
from different users.
- X-Mailer - the fake name of the mail client
this message was allegedly sent by.
- Message Body - message body.
Click the Test button for the program to try to send a
test message with the specified settings. You will see a message
with the attempt results after some time. If the test message is
successfully sent, you can log into your mail account and make sure
that the message is delivered.
