Email Page

Use this page to specify the email settings that will be used to send logs.

Specify the email address logs will be sent to. Besides, you should specify the address of the SMTP server, the username and password, the connection port and type. You can get this data from your email service provider. In case of popular email accounts, these settings are specified automatically after you enter the email address and all you have to enter is the mail account password.

  • Send To - send logs to the specified address.
  • Username, Password - username and password for SMTP authentication.
  • SMTP server - SMTP server address.
  • Port - SMTP server connection port. Typical values are 25, 465, 587.
  • Security - select the connection type:
    • None - simple connection.
    • SSL - secure SSL connection.
    • TLS - TLS-encrypted connection.
  • Advanced - open the email advanced settings. There is no need to change these settings in most cases.

  • Send From - sender's fake address. By default, this address coincides with the recipient's address.
  • Subject - the subject of the email message with logs. The string {user} will be automatically replaced with the name of the current user in the system. Thus, you can sort messages with logs coming from different computers and from different users.
  • X-Mailer - the fake name of the mail client this message was allegedly sent by.
  • Message Body - message body.

Click the Test button for the program to try to send a test message with the specified settings. You will see a message with the attempt results after some time. If the test message is successfully sent, you can log into your mail account and make sure that the message is delivered.
